Hello everyone!
Earlier today, Fandom released a minor design update to the VisualEditor, both the Visual Mode and the Source Mode (aka 2017 editor), to help simplify it and make it more intuitive. I recommend reading this blog for detailed information, but here are the short details.
Renamed some of the tools (e.g. "paragraph" is now "normal text")
Shuffled some icons around (e.g. the back and forward arrow buttons are now located on the far left rather than the middle)
Hid some less-essential tools from view to make the initial editor view less overwhelming in all its glory (the tools are still accessible in dropdown menus)
For the 2017 source mode: we removed the options available from the menu icon (those three stacked horizontal bars) -- If you want those back, you can customize your toolbar to access them from there)
For the 2017 source mode: we used the menu icon to replace the gear icon
The blog has some helpful pictures as well. And a reminder that you can switch your preferred editor in Special:Preferences ^^ Let me know if you have any comments, concerns, or constructive feedback! Happy editing! :D
Hi guys! Wanted to quickly inform you about notifications being wonky again. They're apparently not ready for the new year either.
Yesterday, older notifications were missing and users were unable to click on them. Fortunately, new notifications are now going through. The bell icon is showing the wrong count until user gets a new notifications. Users still have no access to notifications that happened during the incident plus older notifications until a complete fix (which is being worked on). "Mark all as read" is still be wonky as well.
Thank you again for your patience as we look into this issue. With that being said, since I cannot see older messages from my holiday break, I'm afraid I am missing some so feel free to ping me again if I have not responded to your message! I will also be going through my message walls again to see if I missed any pokes there.
As always, feel free to reach out on Discord (vector_sigma) if needed since I'm permanently online :) Hope you guys had a great holiday season!
Hi guys! Just wanted to give you all a quick update.
As some of you may have learned, notifications were broken from approximately 5 pm EST to 5 am earlier today. Web-notifications weren't be sent out properly, and then they weren't being removed afterwards. I'm happy to say that the issue is now resolved ^^ Thank you for your patience.
If any of you pinged me last night, feel free to poke me again! I'll be going through my message walls and checking manually. I was a bit busy extinguishing fires in Community Central last night (and it's finals week for me, rip).
As always, feel free to reach out on Discord (vector_sigma) if needed since I'm permanently online :)
Hi guys! Got another short update for you.
The Thanks Extension was added to this wiki several months ago as part of the testing phase, and it seems to be going great! Now, the thanks extension is now available for all communities. Admins can toggle it on/off on the Admin Dashboard, just like message walls and blogs. A reminder that you can view all the logs for Thanks under Special:Log/thanks.
Thanks for being part of the testing phase! :D And I hope you enjoy the extension. Feel free to leave it on or turn it off.

Hi guys!
Just wanted to quickly share that the reported notifications feature is now live on all wikis! It is currently being rolled out so it may take a few hours for it to appear for everyone, but it is live!
What is this? Once enabled, every administrator and thread moderator will receive notifications if there are any reported discussion posts, message walls, or article comments. This is on a per-wiki basis, so you might have to toggle this if you're a mod on numerous wikis. It will only be one notification per wiki, even if there are multiple reports.
To enable/disable it, please go to your Preferences -> Notifications -> Web notifications for moderators.
I recommend checking out this blog post for additional information.
If you have any questions or bug reports, let me know! :D
Hey everyone!
I have been doing a little bit of maintenance here on Discussions, which has mainly consisted of consolidating categories. The result of this process is a total of 7 categories:
General - This is the main category of the Discussions board. If you are unsure what to categorize your post under, this would probably be the safe bet. However, we ask that only Flipline-related content is posted here.
News and Announcements - If there is important news to share about the wiki, such posts will be placed under this category. Other important updates, such as Flipline news, may also use this category.
Character Discussion - Posts about Flipline's characters may belong here, though the General category is also appropriate.
Games Discussion - Posts about Flipline's games may belong here, though the General category is also appropriate.
Fanmade Content (NEW) - This category is for all of the fan artists, Papa Louie Pals users, and the like. However, only Flipline-related fan content is to be posted under this category.
Off-Topic and Fun - Everything unrelated to Flipline should be placed in this category.
Ask the Staff - If you have questions for the staff at any time, please place those posts in this category.
With this new system, we are going to ask for all new posts to be categorized appropriately. If you see someone make a post that is incorrectly categorized, you can either report the post or ping a staff member, and we will change the category.
Please let myself or another staff member know if you have any questions! Thank you all for your contributions to the Discussions board.
The Grumpy Onion is not alone
Hey everyone! A bit late to this announcement, but the Thanks Extension has been enabled on this wiki during the continued testing phase. You'll be seeing this extension in Recent Changes, and clicking the (thank) button will send the user a "thank you" notification for their edit. This can be disabled in your Preferences -> Notifications and uncheck "Someone thanks me for an edit I made".
If you come across any issues, please let me or the mods know. If things majorly break, let me know asap so I can pull the switch. And let me know what you think as well!
You can check out the thanks log for this wiki here, and you can read more about our technical updates here.
Hey everyone!
I'm excited to announce that featured polls have finally made their return to the wiki's main page!
With the major Unified Community Platform (UCP) update in 2020, the standard poll feature was disabled. However, an alternative solution was recently discovered in which we can resume our monthly polls.
The main difference is that in the past, anyone was able to cast their vote. With this new system, only logged-in users are able to do so. It's also powered by Discussions, so you'll be able to view the poll both on the Discussions feed and on the main page.
Feel free to check out the latest poll here! It'll be up until the end of the month.
The screenshots are for the sake of me remembering what it looks like.
Boopsy has a hard time with life, but no matter how hard Bill tries to help him, he simply can't do anything about it.
Finally, Boopsy decides to end it all, and Bill ends up...
To be fair, it sticks all over his body when he's stressed out, just like his traumas. Bill blames himself for being the driving force in Boopsy's passing, and slowly learns "morals" that aren't even promising to worsen his conditions.
Now that ain't funny, huh? A poor little puppet boy is abandoned by his owner via the death of the latter.
Hey everyone!
As you likely know, Papa's Freezeria Deluxe will be released tomorrow. We are anticipating a noticeable increase in activity over the next few weeks, especially on the game article itself. Everyone is welcome to participate in the editing frenzy, and your help in updating the wiki would be greatly appreciated!
That being said, I wanted to remind everyone that datamined information is prohibited on the Flipline Studios Wiki. All added content should be from fair sources, such as those actually playing through the game. If datamined information is found, it will be removed promptly and further action may be taken.
If you would like to chat about the game with other fans, you are welcome to join our Discord server! (https://discord.gg/QBzv985)
Thank you, and have fun tomorrow!
Hello everyone!
I'm sure most of you have noticed the little site notice appearing on the wiki about the MediaWiki 1.39 update. I just wanted to give a little bit more information about it.
What's being updated? Mostly coding underneath the hood. There will be no major design changes. Consider it like replacing the battery of a car - the car will still be the same outwardly, but it just needs some updates underneath.
All Fandom wikis will be updating to MediaWiki 1.39 in the coming month. I don't have an exact timeline at this moment, but expect it to happen in mid-March or April. During the migration to 1.39, the wikis will be set in read-only mode. It shouldn't take more than 30 minutes (major wikis could need more hours). One week before migration, a banner will appear on communities to let you know the migration is scheduled. For one week after the migration, a similar banner to let users know the community is now on the new version.
Most importantly, if you experience any bugs after the move, please either report them to the admins (who will then forward them to me) or directly to me either on my message wall or Discord. We've done our best to squash and take note of any bugs in our testing phase, but any additional pokes would be greatly appreciated!
Please check out the help page on Community Central for a changelog and further information. ^^
Hi everyone!
Today is a very special day: it's the Flipline Studios Wiki's 10th anniversary!!
Over the past decade, this wiki has become the #1 database for all things Flipline. People from all over the world view this site to get the information they need. It's an integral part of the Flipline fanbase, and I am glad to be a part of it.
I would like to thank all of our wonderful contributors who work hard to keep this wiki as updated and accurate as possible. It is no easy task, but you all do a great job.
The wiki was the very first Flipline community I joined, and I have made so many great memories during my time here. I hope to make even more in the future!
Happy anniversary, and may the next decade be just as amazing!
Hey y'all,
I just want y'all to know that I don't really like how people seem to be throwing out every kind of new Gameria suggestions that just are either repetitive or has limited ingredients like a Chocolateria. How would a Chocolateria even work since we already have a bunch of chocolate ingredients in the games, and the chocolate page has LOADS OF INFORMATION about chocolate ingredients.
Therefore, I like y'all to explain how your Gameria suggestion works by providing at least 3 stations for that game and how they would work (order station is excluded by the way) because I'll personally start deleting comments that just throw any kind of Gameria suggestion without explaining how it would work, especially when we have holidays as a feature.
Look at the Papa's Taco Mia To Go Special Orders as you like!
Who will win for the Papa's Next Chefs in 2021? Let me know in the comments! ❤
I looked at the report posts section, and I noticed that hardly any of the reported posts hardly broke the rules or seemed toxic at all. The page below is shown only for staff members. I would like to remind everyone to please report any posts, messages, or comments only if they're clearly breaking the rules, not because you don't like or disagreed with that comment. Anyone abusing this feature from now on will be warned, and punished if caught doing it again.
